In shadow on a bright day, it is easier to see how beautiful the veined marble is. Carefully matched veined patterns have been placed beside each other, so they look like they could be textile patterns. We see this often in Venice; perhaps the most vivid example is the interior of the basilica of San Marco. The nave of Miracoli church is classical and quiet in its design.
