Like many of most interesting sites in Venice, Palazzo Labia is best approached from the water. In the case of Labia the entrance is off the Grand Canal. The Church of San Geremia sits on the actual corner and Labia on its right is its neighbor on the broad Canareggio Canal. This intersection is famous in Venice. It has been memorialized by painters ranging from the Old Master Michele Marieschi to the American John Singer Sargent who painted it in 1903.
