This chapel once had a small Bernini altarpiece. The current Baroque angels and tabernacle were carved and signed by Jacopo Contiero.
Jacopo Contiero b. Padua 1698/1709 - d. ? Contiero seemed to find work as a sculptor throughout the Venetian Empire. We know he worked in Padua and Udine, briefly at Venice at the cemetery church, San Michele in Isola, and as far down the Adriatic coast as Rijeka, Croatia. There he made 'most outstanding Baroque statues' for the altar for church of the Assumption.
