Riverside Drive - New York City, New York
Fraternity House

The Beaux Arts Movement thought that it would improve people’s lives. Art and architecture believed it had that power then. Good art and architecture, then as now, was available mostly to those who could afford it. The building seen (434 Riverside Drive) is now a fraternity house for the nearby Columbia University. It was designed in 1903 by Wood Palmer and Hornbostel.
