This the west sculpture on the East 25th Street side of the building, was formerly occupied by figure of 'Mohammed' by Charles Albert Lopez. However, in the Muslim religion, it is not permissible to depict the human figure. In 1955, because of protest from the governments of Indonesia, Egypt and Pakistan and a formal request from the State Department, the sculpture was removed. All the others were moved over one position to the west. Seen is 'Persian Law, Zoroaster' by Edward C. Potter./p> Zoroaster, a prophet, lived in northeastern Iran in the 6th C. BC and created the Zoroastrian religion. In it, there are two primary spirits — Ahura-Mazda, the spirit of light, the wise one; and Ahriman, the force of evil. Zoroaster was a reformer who tried to evict the corruption of the old order with his new religion. He is considered the founder of the Persian Religion.
