The relief is titled, 'I Am the Resurrection and the Life.' The Nova Scotia yellow sandstone reliefs are by John M. Moffitt.
John M. Moffitt (b. 1837 England – d. London. England, 1887) apprenticed with a London sculptor before he came to America. In New York, one of his first commissions was for the figures that decorate the eastern entrance to Green-Wood cemetery. Later he made several funerary monuments there. Afterwards he made the reredos at Packer Memorial Church, Mauch Chunk, PA. Many altars in New York City churches were made by him. He planned also a soldiers' monument in East Rock Park, New Haven, CT.
