Empire State Building & Vicinity - New York City, New York
East River & Waterside Plaza

On clear days, visitors can see the surrounding countryside for distances up to 80 miles. They can see the neighboring states of New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Connecticut and of course, New York State. The four towers on the East River between 29th and 25th streets are Waterside Plaza, a luxury rental housing project built and owned by Richard Ravitch. The buildings were designed by Davis Brody Architects. Just in front of them is the new Bellevue Hospital building. Macy's Fourth of July fireworks spectacular is held in the East River in front of the building each year.
